The following guide should help you in tackling lower levels of Joint Battle - Dark Uprising.

The following guide is suitable for Lv.23, Lv.28, and Lv.33 stages.

The enemies in higher-level stages are very different, and require different strategies not covered in this guide!

Victory Conditions

Defeat all enemies

Enemy Info

① 1st Position

Boss: Succubus & Witch

Type: Demon & Mage

Additional Troops: Harpies

Type: Flier

Recommendation

First, use a hero with comparatively higher defense to draw out the two harpies. Harpies have high ATK, so make sure the luring hero isn’t instantly killed.

Be careful not to let your Infantry get annihilated by the Succubus’ Fireball!

② 2nd Position

Boss: Minotaur & Orc

Type: Infantry & Infantry

Additional Troops: Skeleton Master

Type: Demon

Recommendation

Use Cavalry to lure from the city walls, and Holy units to strike the Demons from the rear!

Make good use of the nearby city walls to gain the upper hand!

③ 3rd Position

Boss: Nagya & Skeleton Archer

Type: Mage & Demon

Additional Troops: Rock Golem

Type: Lancer

Recommendation

Rock Golems have high physical defense, so use magic to kill them. Frost skills can deal additional damage to Lancers.

Make sure your Cavalry aren’t hit by the boss’ Lightning Strike – its extra damage could make short work of them.

④ 4th Position

Boss: Nikellis

Type: Mage & Demon

Additional Troop 1: Necromancer

Type: Demon

Additional Troop 2: Ghost

Type: Demon

Recommendation

The boss and the Ghost’s skills will render friendly troops unable to receive healing, so be sure not to sacrifice too many troops in the early stages, or you may find yourself fighting a losing battle.

Nikellis and the Necromancer deal relatively high magic damage, so try to use heroes with higher magic defense and magic defense buffs.

[Lineup Recommendations]

Lancer x1  Cavalry x1  Holy x2  Mage x1 or Infantry x1

Due to the large number of Demons and the fact that your troops may be divided at the start of the battle, we recommended using a dual healer lineup for increased safety and efficiency.

Of course, there is not only one way to overcome this stage!
Whatever your lineup, strategy is key!

Tactical Overview

At the beginning of the battle, your Cavalry and a Holy unit can use the city walls at position ① to take out the enemy.

Your other party members head to position ②. Use your Lancer to lure the two Fliers and kill them. Apply a physical defense buff if you’re worried about your Lancer taking too much damage.

After clearing the enemies at positions ① and ②, converge your troops at position ③. Use your Infantry and Mage to defeat the Rock Golems and the boss will be a piece of cake.

Send your troops to position ④. As the boss and his minions cast debuffs that prevent your troops from being healed, make sure you use the city walls to prevent your tank from losing HP too quickly and dying. If you use the city walls and play it safe early on, this battle should be easy to win.

Some enemies have high attack power. Be sure to pay attention to their positions at every step of the battle. If they catch you off guard, the battle could become a hopeless struggle.
