Langrisser Day No.32

Dear Commanders,

Without us even realizing it, 2021 is almost at an end. Amid this gloriously festive atmosphere and accompanied by you, Commander, Langrisser now ushers in its 32nd Langrisser Day! We wish you all a happy Langrisser Day!
This week, Langrisser sees the advent of the all-new update—Transcend, Apex of Humanity! After Thursday's update maintenance, Gizarof's memory vessel—SSR Transcender and the Crystal Vessel—SSR Alpha will descend on El Sallia to join you in your adventure! So, in preparation of this momentous event, we'll be bringing you the latest intelligence report on these two new SSR heroes this Langrisser Day!

SSR Transcender
Character Introduction
The embodiment of Gizarof's memories, the Transcender now becomes the new executor of the Transcendence Plan. Well aware of the causes and effects of the former executor's successes and failures, the Transcender has long been detached from Gizarof's stagnating hatred, and is bent on pursuing the most devastating power in the world to realize his goal of absolute transcendence.

Talent—Force of Annihilation
After using a skill, INT, DEF, and MDEF are increased by (4%, 5%, 6%, 7%). Can be stacked up to 3 times. Cannot be dispelled.
Before entering battle, if HP is equal to or greater than (100%, 90%, 80%, 70%), normal attacks hit twice.

The Transcender holds the power of fate in his hands and possesses a brand-new fighting mechanism. As the battle continues, his damage and survivability increase, and when he is at high HP, his normal attacks hit twice, making him a huge threat to enemies with low MDEF.

3-Cost Skill—Reversal of Fate
[Passive] Unit is not affected by melee damage reduction effects. The first time Unit HP is reduced to below 50% after taking damage, gains Shield, which blocks damage equal to 50% of Max HP. Cannot be dispelled. (Only 1 type of Shield effect can exist at any one time.)
[Active] Chooses an enemy and swaps HP percentages with them. Can act again after using this skill. (After using this skill, any buffs you have do not lose their turn count.)

The Transcender's 3-Cost skill features a new HP exchange mechanism. Combined with its short cooldown and act again effect, it has the potential to turn the tide of battle. However, it should be noted that this HP percentage exchange effect doesn't work against dungeon bosses who are immune to percentage-based damage. Its passive grants the Transcender immunity to melee damage penalties, so he can flexibly switch between combat modes, and he also gains a shield effect when at low HP.

Overall Evaluation
The Transcender not only possesses superb AoE abilities, he also has a powerful normal attack effect. When in danger, he can protect himself with a shield and turn around even the most dire situations with the help of his unique HP-swapping skill.

SSR Alpha
Character Introduction
After the Final War, a spaceship shot down by Alhazard unleashed a crystal plague on the continent, lasting over a century. In order to realize his new plan of transcendence, Gizarof, who existed as a memory unit, used the power of the polluted crystal to create the first vessel—Alpha.

Talent—Indestructible Amethyst
Increases damage dealt by (5%, 8%, 11%, 15%). ATK and DEF are increased by (5%, 8%, 11%, 15%) when fighting against units with a class disadvantage.
At the start of each battle, gains either Amethyst Cover: "Magic damage taken is reduced by (20%, 25%, 30%, 40%)," or Amethyst Shield: "Physical damage taken is reduced by (20%, 25%, 30%, 40%)" Amethyst Cover and Amethyst Shield cannot exist simultaneously. They also ignore immunity and cannot be dispelled, and are switched at the start of turn."

Alpha is a brawler with both combat and Guard abilities, making her a stalwart fighter who cannot be underestimated on the battlefield. Her talent allows her to switch her defensive forms at the beginning of each turn, granting high damage reduction from specific sources. Make good use of this switching mechanism, and you can suppress the enemy's damage output. In addition, she also deals increased damage against units with a class disadvantage.

3-Cost Skill—Amethyst Blast
[Passive] Grants 100% HP upon taking damage that would otherwise have been fatal and reduces the cooldown of all skills by 5. Also permanently removes Amethyst Cover and Amethyst Shield. Can only trigger once per battle.
[Physical Damage] Deals 0.3x AoE damage to all enemies within 4 blocks. Before casting, dispels all debuffs from the caster and deals increased damage based on the caster's missing HP (up to 100%).

Alpha can use the power of amethyst crystals to fight, heal herself, and deal high damage. Her 3-Cost skill has a wide damage range and deals more damage the lower her HP is. Combined with her talent's damage reduction, this makes Alpha a truly terrifying presence on the battlefield. In addition, its passive provides Alpha with a strong resurrection ability and greatly reduces skill cooldowns, but only by sacrificing her defensive forms.

Overall Evaluation
Alpha is good at protecting her teammates and can also deal adequate damage, and continuously switching between Amethyst Cover and Amethyst Shield can limit the enemy's attack order and options in battle. In the most desperate moments, she can give her life for her team and use her 3-Cost skill to turn defeat into victory.

And with that, we come to the end of today's Hero Intelligence Report! After the maintenance update on Thursday, you'll have an increased chance of summoning SSR heroes The Transcender and Alpha from a new limited-time summoning event. We wish you all the best of luck in summoning these unique and powerful heroes! Their addition to your forces will open up countless new strategic possibilities for your lineup!

Finally, please remember to claim your Langrisser Day gift! Until next time—farewell, Commander!
