The Evil Dragon Descends
To celebrate the Spring Festival, the Floating City hosts an "Auspicious Dragon" celebration, with its many heroes each doing their part to prepare for the festivities in the name of the majestic Auspicious Dragon.
As Dieharte and his companions idly chat by the fire, a deep dragon's roar shatters the joyous atmosphere.
The Sovereign of the Ice Abyss, Imelda, descends from the sky, freezing every celebration venue in sight. Willing to accept nothing less than total submission, she throws down the gauntlet, ready to take on the world's heroes...
A Different Kind of "Domination"
The proud Imelda struts through the festival venues, aiming to conquer all with her mighty powers. Yet, at each site, she's surprised to find the heroes here have a whole different take on what power and conquest mean.
From the Fluffy Temple to the Epic Eatery and Moonlight Tower, these odd heroes wield a kind of strength that has Imelda stumped, throwing a wrench in her crusade of conquest.
As she finds herself busy tackling all sorts of bizarre challenges, she also finds herself unwittingly infected by the beliefs and perseverance of the local heroes... and the rigid idea of conquest in her icy heart finally begins to thaw.
"Developing some sort of respect for others for inexplicable reasons... You're a bunch of weirdos."
Chaos Returns
Just as Imelda starts to grow intensely curious about the heroes of this land, evil forces gather and strike the festival. Chaos once again breaks through the portal into their dimension,and in an instant, the true "Evil Dragon" appears, intent on destroying the peace and harmony of the Floating City and the entire world.
In fact, Imelda had anticipated the arrival of Chaos in this land, and her original plan was to conquer it before Chaos could strike.
Unfortunately, she ended up getting too carried away with the festive fun to fulfill her wish. And what's more, this isn't the same old Imelda, hell-bent on conquest—now she's fighting side by side with her new friends, resisting Chaos with a newfound fire in her soul. It appears the fervor of this land has finally melted the queen's frozen heart...
"Our world is not so frail that it is at the mercy of outsiders! Nor will it be consumed by the putrid stench of Chaos for a second! Come! We will never surrender!"
Warmth of the Frigid Abyss
Finally, heroes from all corners rally at the location of the ultimate showdown—Auspicious Dragon Plaza. The colossal Evil Dragon unleashes its powerful malevolent energy, plunging the land into deathly silence.
Imelda looks at the people before her, her habitual indifference having conditioned her to simply stand by and watch this calamity unfold. However, the constant encouragement and cheers around her keep chipping away at her heart...
Friends, comrades, sovereigns and subjects... Everyone's unwavering ideals make Imelda see things in a new light, imbuing her with a whole new concept of conquest. In the end, Imelda chooses to stand with El Sallia, taking on Chaos's "Evil Dragon" in the form of the legendary Auspicious Dragon...
"Let me, too, fight for peace and tranquility in this world!"
