As an upgrade of the Frost frigate, the Snowflake frigate has heavy equipment and interference abilities, as well as superior exterior armors and electronic compatibility.
After successfully upgrading the Mist frigate and developing the Sprinkle frigate, Shimadzu Group's renown grew, cementing its advantage in the internal arms market even more after the war. The Shimadzu Group became arrogant and proud, but after the war, it was no longer appropriate for the group to publicly put its own interests over that of the community.
And so the established consortium, Redbud Finance Group, rose to power during this time. In 947 AG, the Redbud Group attracted the elite of Shimadzu's ship development team through higher R&D investment and technology investment, and then began research to upgrade the Frost frigate under a project codenamed ""Snowflake"".
The Redbud Group knew that a simple change in the model would not be enough to be seen as a true upgrade. Therefore, the Redbud Group dedicated themselves to renovating the core technology to develop a frigate that still played its role on the battlefield. They equipped the ship with Bastion-type shield amplifiers and a tandem propulsion-energy distributor to complement it, further improving its survivability on the battlefield. The Snowflake frigate gives consideration to both armors and maneuverability. Data collected from interference missions carried out in complex battlefields shows that this ship is the most reliable member of the fleet.
In 953 AG, nearly 20 years after Galactic War IV, the Snowflake frigate's post-development was completed and it was equipped and put into production. This caused Redbud Finance Group's stock to soar, and also forced Shimadzu Group to re-evaluate itself. But Shimadzu still believed that the Redbud Group must have obtained some of the Oracle Empire's Confessor blueprints in order to design the Snowflake so perfectly.
