The Rainbow frigate is the successor of the Glimmer, inheriting its battlefield role of electronic interception. It possesses good maneuverability and component compatibility, and performs great when fighting alongside firepower cruisers.
During the lenient Rochard period (251 AG-337 AG) of Titan Empire II, the Dawn's Li family was made the Finance Minister of the Empire. This forced Glick-A to put aside their dispute over the resources and interests on Aurora, and make things up with the Dawn. As a token of sincerity, they transferred their autonomously-developed core propulsion technology.
With both funds and technology ready, Redbud Group began its upgrade of the Glimmer frigate with the ""Rainbow"" project, which is the prototype of the modern-day Rainbow frigate. Although it still used the Glimmer's appearance design, the ship's core propulsion came from Glick-A.
The modern-day Rainbow frigate is a representative piece of the Dawn's rising military technology. Inspired by technology legacy of Titan Empire II, researchers equipped a force-field generator on the Rainbow's retractable horn, and connected it to the emergency electro-magnetic barrier trigger. This ensures that the emergency self-preservation core successfully activates when needed while also saving the processor capability used on installed components.
After a series of retrofits, the meticulous designers also enhanced its maneuverability and processor capability. Its high maneuverability and compatibility for new arms allow it to perform better in guerrilla battles.
Warriors who can precisely judge the conditions on the battlefield can make this ship have the final right to choose its actions before it is destroyed, which leads to the Rainbow's great reputation. Of course, it is said that the Glick Restoration Army also got their hands on this ship, which is a major headache for the Dawn Community.
