The Bamboo destroyer inherits the assault and interception roles of its predecessor, the Redbud destroyer. It performs outstandingly in terms of maneuverability and firepower, and is hence a vital firepower provider in small to medium campaigns.
The Bamboo destroyer is an example of a successful upgrade of a medium-sized, fast warship of the 990s AG, the period of the Dawn's Great Military Industrial Development. This destroyer was actually an experimental product based on the modern Redbud, designed to replace it, and because of this, its cost was exorbitant for mass production. In the words of its designer, as a benchmark product of the Dawn's modern military industry technology reform, it had superb maneuverability and agility, and powerful close-range firepower. Its extremely high processor capability and module expansion design allowed its owner to apply virtually any customization. Of course, the designers also made adjustments to its weapons systems and armor, but considering its battlefield role, they leaned towards prioritizing the processor capability for equipping more powerful weapons systems.
In the several modern-day operations against the Glick Restoration Army, the Bamboo destroyer performed excellently, perfectly displaying the military force of the Dawn.
This epoch-making Bamboo destroyer's core technology is believed to actually have been secretly obtained from the ruins of Hygara by the Blackwood Research Institute. After all, the Dawn occupied a part of Hygara's ruins during the era of Titan Empire II, and didn't return it until after Galactic War IV, when the United Solar Systems of Hygara were established. This has been seen as the reason for why the Dawn's modern technology has developed so quickly and become dominant.
It is rumored that unlike the limited production that the Dawn has indicated, the Bamboo destroyer actually appears frequently on black market.
