The Magpie cruiser is a comprehensive ship that mainly focuses on assault and command, and has excellent component compatibility. The Micropulse Wormhole Generator ensures performance during an assault by enhancing maneuverability. It can travel across complex battlefields nimbly and support allies effectively based on its judgment of the situation.
Compared to other Dawn ships, the Magpie has a more conservative and standard design. That's because it carries on its Spartan lineage. Near the end of the Second Titan Empire, the Dawn Trade Union, which had yet formed an economic community, grew increasingly powerful after it won the Century War. In 887 AG, the Shaw-led Singularity Tech Group secretly purchased the core ship technology at a high price from the Spartan rebels, and then used it as a foundation to develop a series of successful ships. The Magpie is defined as an assault and command ship.
At the time, in order to avoid development risks, the Singularity research team decided to test a component that was developed for battleships on a small ship. They chose the Magpie. This component made the Magpie even better at long-range raids, and the Magpie became the first cruiser to use tactical battleship components.
During Galactic War IV, the Magpie was one of the most important assault and command ships. Its agility enabled it to charge into the battlefield and support allies.
Today, the Magpie has multiple Vacuum Energy Extractors on its back. When used to boost speed, they recycle the engine's waste heat into the weapon system to increase firepower and improve the Magpie's survivability on the battlefield. It is also equipped with a Micropulse Wormhole Generator. When this device is activated, a wormhole that leads to a pulsar is generated. When the ship leaves the wormhole, the pulsar gives the ship a significant speed boost. The combination of the tactical component and the tactical device effectively improves the ship's maneuverability.
The improved Magpie boasts great performance. Even Neo-Europa has to admit that the ship's success wasn't entirely built on the technology from Neo-Europa.
