The Genbu cruiser is set to play the role of electronic disrupter. It possesses excellent electronic compatibility and sustainability, making it perform well when fighting alongside firepower ships in skirmishes.
The original development of the Genbu cruiser started during the first Great Council period (960 BG-400 BG). Glick-B (which later became the Dawn) had been upset with the Glick-A government for some time, and in 830 BG, they started to carry out the Aurora project. This project included a series of actions including secretly relocating citizens, developing planets, and building private armies. The most powerful person carrying out these actions may have been Zhiyu Shaw.
Zhiyu Shaw's personally invested to establish the Pan-Galaxy Telecommunications, but after making substantial profit, the government demanded to become a shareholder. Having to make the compromise, Zhiyu Shaw began to secretly dismantle the company and move projects away. The most famous project among them that still lasts today is Singularity Tech Corp, a company engaged in cruiser development during Aurora project.
The original purpose of the Genbu project's was an attempt to use force fields to disrupt enemy ships' tactical modules. The design went through several modifications, and the epochal disruption ship was finally finished after 20+ years.
It was because of this unique significance that the Genbu name was preserved, but the ship has undergone several upgrades. The modern-day Genbu cruiser is based on an electronic ship system and equipped with a complex weapon power limit breaker which infuse all the energy into weapon system to enhance firepower once the onboard superdevice finishes recharging. While the infused Higgs energy core effectively recycles remnant heat of the engine, fills most of the capacitors in a single discharge and enhances their recharging rate. These equipments greatly increase the Genbu's survivability on the battlefield.
The Genbu has experienced many battles, but the most famous was probably the ""GGA"" Operation during Galactic War IV. In this campaign, groups of Genbus weaved in and out on the battlefield and hindered enemy commanders' judgment by disrupting enemy ships on the outskirts. Never ever underestimate the disruption capability of the Genbu.
