As an improvement of the Genbu cruiser, the Kirin cruiser maintains the features of an electronic disruptor on the battlefield, and the overall performance is stable.
The Kirin's prototype debuted during the conflict between Aurora and Glick-A around 630 BG.
The Glick-A government discovered that Glick-B, which later became Dawn, secretly engaged in the development of Aurora, and then, Glick-B was asked to have Aurora become affiliated with Glick as Glick-B was a part of Glick. Aurora's complex colonial history resulted in its complex population composition. The Auroras are aggressive by nature, and they had no sense of belonging to the Glick civilization, which led to a conflict. Glick-A's demands also damaged Glick-B's interests. They secretly supported the rebellion by Aurora, providing them with military equipment, which included the Kirin, an electronic interceptor, which was upgraded from the Genbu by Singularity Tech.
Although Aurora was defeated in the end, (Dawn believes that this was due to Aurora itself, to a certain extent), the Kirin's advantages in battle as an electronic ship were obvious. In the hands of a pilot with adroit ability to judge the situation, the ship could continually interfere with the most important enemies, making it difficult for them to judge the situation. It also possessed extreme durability unique to electronic ships, which allowed it to soar through the battlefield. Meanwhile, under the cover of heavy firepower ships, it is difficult to locate.
It is due to its irreplaceable role that it has been continually upgraded. In 956 AG, Singularity Tech redesigned the firepower system and onboard equipment of the modern Genbu, maintaining its role on the battlefield, and continuing to use the name ""Kirin"" for the upgraded ship.
Nowadays, 4 sets of D-110 Injection Higgs Power Cores are attached to both sides of the Genbu's long ship body. They recycle the waste heat generated during navigation to boost ship speed and restore the capacitor. The brand new Damage Limit Breaker can transfer all of the ship's energy to weapons when the Injection Higgs Power Cores has accumulated enough energy. Such a design enhances the ship's burst damage and sustainability.
