Ship Background

As an upgrade of the Metaphysics battleship, the Tao battleship has good maneuverability, steady firepower, improved processor capacity, and improved capacitors.

The Tao battleship is a prominent assault battleship of this era, used in battles ranging from local conflicts and the suppression of rebellions to international warfare. It performs competently, and is an emerging ship of the Dawn fleet.

Its technology comes from the Dawn's ""Starlord Project"" that began after Galactic War IV. This was the last major ship development and procurement project in the Dawn's recent history, and is one of the vastest upgrade research programs currently being conducted in the universe. The goal of the design is to replace the series of unstable ships developed through the previous ""Yang"" project.

The Shimadzu Group was one of the groups that participated in the project. They proposed a cost-effective plan to upgrade the Metaphysics battleship, which was considered to be a top level ship, by improving maneuverability, applying intelligent armor, and improving other details.

The defensive turrets on the Metaphysics accumulate energy in batches. The pulse device compresses energy repeatedly and a devastating attack can be dealt by the upgraded particle accelerator in the turret. The navigation tracking AI is hidden beneath an interwoven structure, and closely protected by various defensive modules. The best Focused Gravitational Field Entanglement Beam gives it an advantage when pursuing enemies.
