Langrisser’s 13 Enchant Types and How to Use Them

Today, I'll be bringing you an introduction to enchantments, and some recommendations, too! Each hero can equip four pieces of equipment, and each piece of equipment can be enchanted with stats.

 

Firstly, we can divide enchantments into two categories:

 

Damage Enchantments

Blazing Sun, Meteor

(2-piece Bonus: Crit +5%)

 

Magic, Full Moon, Raging Sea, Breeze, Clock

(2-piece Bonus: ATK & INT +5%)

 

Defensive Enchantments

Steel, Thorns, Tree of Life

(2-piece bonus HP+10%)

 

Hard Rock, Ice, Crystal

(2-piece bonus DEF & MDEF +5%)

 

 

Now, let’s have a look at their 4-piece bonuses and recommended heroes!

 

Meteor

When attacking units with over 80% HP, damage dealt after entering battle is increased by 20%. Meteor’s damage potential ranks first among all enchantments, but it triggers only when the enemy has high HP. Can be used to target the enemy's high-HP heroes, but pay attention to the fact that this effect activates after entering battle.

 

Recommended Heroes: Any high-damage hero, high Crit hero, or Cherie.

 

Blazing Sun

Crit Damage +20%

 

This only pays off after landing a critical hit, and only when the enemy has less than 80% HP. The rewards are greater than those of Meteor.

Recommended Heroes: Heroes with high SKILL.

 

Magic

Increases skill damage by 10% and AoE skill damage by 5%.

Dedicated Mage enchantment, purely enhancing skill damage rather than general attack damage. Recommended Heroes: Mages, especially those with AoE skills, such as Bozel.

 

Full Moon

When your HP is at 80% or above, ATK, INT, DEF, and MDEF increase by 10%.

An all-round upgrade of four stats, but HP needs to be kept high.

Recommended Heroes: Heroes whose skills can control or reduce the damage dealt by enemies, or that heal themselves after battle, such as Elwin and Bernhardt. These heroes can maintain high HP after battle, and thus keep their bonus stats.

 

Raging Sea

When attacking, gain 10% ATK. Damage taken reduced by 15%.

Effective when actively attacking an enemy. High returns – you can deal high damage and minimize damage taken.

Recommended Heroes: Leon, Cherie, and other high-damage heroes.

 

Breeze

Damage dealt +10%. After taking action, 30% chance to increase mobility by 2 for 1 turn.

Can boost mobility greatly while increasing damage dealt.

Recommended Heroes: All heroes who deal damage effects and healers.

 

Clock

When dealing damage with skills, has a 30% chance to reduce cooldown by 5.

Once triggered, Clock can allow you to attack opponents continuously and has a variety of applications.

Recommended Heroes: Heroes with comparatively high damage or AoE control skills, like Bozel or Chris.

 

Steel

Reduces all damage taken by 10%.

Grants much-needed protection to your Guard-wielding Lancer when tanking.

 

Tree of Life

Increases the DEF & MDEF of allies within a 2 block range by 5%.

Stacks with Steel. This aura buff effect makes tanks even tankier.

 

Thorns

When attacked, has a 30% chance to reflect 50% of all damage taken.

The effect chance is quite low, and if it triggers when a weak enemy attacks, hardly any damage will be reflected. If it reflects a severe attack, the enemy will take heavy damage, but you’ll also be badly damaged. This effect only triggers 1 or 2 times per battle and is relatively weak.

 

Hard Rock

When HP is below 50%, has a 50% chance to restore 15% HP.

Makes you hard to kill, but the 50% chance makes it unreliable, and when instantly killed or severely injured by the enemy, it has almost no effect.
Recommended Heroes: Aaron. His talent reduces damage taken as his HP falls, and this works well with Hard Rock.

 

Ice

When attacked by an enemy, has a 20% chance to render the attacker unable to act for 1 turn after battle.

This effect has a low chance of triggering and is only suitable for tanky heroes, being most effective when ganged up on or when taking damage for allies. (This hero will need some healing before it’s too late.)

Recommended Heroes: Tanky Heroes, Vargas with Superhuman Bravery.

 

Crystal

Increases healing dealt by 20%.

Suitable for dedicated healers, not Holy units intended for battle, such as Chris.

Recommended Heroes: Sophia, Tiaris, and other support heroes.

 

Mixed Enchant Recommendations

 

Blazing Sun + Meteor grants 10% Crit, making it suitable for Assassins. This is much better for landing critical hits than a single Meteor enchant.

Any two enchants that grant 5% DEF & DMEF suit heroes who can convert DEF into ATK, such as Luna, Bozel, Ledin, etc.
