Ship Background

The Moloch frigate possesses outstanding defense and maneuverability, with steady overall performance. It works well when fighting alongside firepower and interception ships. The Moloch is an upgrade of the Anguis, and adopts an improved V-1031 self-adapting shield recharge accelerator and an Xspace micro-wormhole generator from Crowley Corp.

With the Komodo and Gila's success, Neo-Europa's National Defense Department decided to develop its upgrade in 1031 AG, and listed it in the plan for old equipment replacement, in hopes that it could develop a more powerful, stabler recon frigate based on the Anguis.

In 1033 AG, Crowley Industrial Group acquired the Moloch project, and hoped to use this project as a test for its newly-developed engine propulsion system and armor generator. Researchers improved the agility, accuracy, and situational awareness for a fundamental improvement, and equipped the Moloch frigate with an experimental weapons system that was still in confidential development. This series of upgrades allowed the Moloch to weave in and out of fiery battles, so that it could scout out enemy deployments, and even if it fell under fire, as long as it had the opportunity, the Moloch could perfectly restore its shield and engage in its next risky mission with superb sustainability.

The masterpiece of the Moloch earned Crowley Industrial Group supreme honor. They originally wanted to issue a further upgrade for it, which included fully-improved calculation power and capacitor, but not long after, Neo-Europa issued a ban on the Moloch and its plan. This series of actions brought plans of any further upgrades to a premature halt.

This measure by the Neo-Europa government was believed to prevent the powerful Moloch from falling into the hands of illegal forces, like the Komodo and Gila had. But in reality, this didn't have much of an effect, because the Moloch could still be found on the black market. Perhaps, for some corporations, ""Lives aren't worth anything. Money is everything.""
