The Devout frigate is the upgrade of Ascetic, inheriting its battlefield role of providing outstanding firepower with certain interception module enhancements. This makes it a rare kind of small and fast interception ship in recent history.
Now, the Oracle's Shivas Military Research Institute has once again upgraded the Devout with comprehensively improved weapon core units. An electronization revamp has been made to the ship based on the technological legacy of Titan Empire II. The Devout frigate now uses a trial electric field shield trigger to enhance the originally weak defense system, thereby increasing the Devout's survivability.
According to the latest data from Oracle Empire's Arms Department, the Devout performs best in fights where it has the chance to destroy enemy targets one by one.
The Devout was originally an improved version of the Ascetic developed during Galactic War II (990 BG - 970 BG). It was originally developed completely as an firepower ship, and its armor thickness was not improved at the time. It was a ship manufactured for Galactic War II at the request of Fashir Barak, the Moxina Fox (970 BG - 910 BG).
For this, the prototype of the Devout only enhanced the Ascetic's firepower, and improved its already-strong speed and agility. The Ascetic's already-weak armor had to be weakened even more in order to ensure that the Devout's firepower and mobility upgrades could have full play on the battlefield.
In reality, during Galactic War II, concentrated fire from Devouts could strike fear into an enemy's heart, and even force medium-sized battleships to evade. Piloting a ship like this into battle may look like suicide today, but in those days, talented pilots created many legend stories only possible through conviction in Deus Faith.
At least under Fashir's leadership, they worked with their allies to defeat Titan Empire I, restoring law and order to the known universe.
Afterwards, the Devout's name and role were preserved all the way until the modern version of the Ascetic was developed. When upgrading it, the royal house of Nihad required that the ""Devout"" name continue being used for some reason.
