The Foehn cruiser follows the design of the Hellfire, an interceptor with strong firepower and disruption features. It has remarkable firepower compared to its prototype and it is equipped with an augmented capacitor. Besides this, the remodeled processing system also provides a good platform for updated weapons.
The Foehn was originally an upgrade of the Hellfire conducted by Hem-Netjer. During the Relinquishment Period (500 AG- 700 AG) of the Second Titan Empire, the Oracle Empire actively tried to expand, and sought greater benefits, especially in the Svarn border region of Geonesia and its ""Domain"". To achieve this, Hem-Netjer provided the Hellfire ship design plans to the Oracle Royal Military Design Institute. It was on this foundation that designers expanded the modules of the ship and upgraded all of the digital firepower calibration systems, thus completing the prototype of the Foehn.
During Galactic War IV, the Svarns, who had carried out a comprehensive re-equipping, began a ""Starbase Recapture"" movement against the Oracle Empire. Most of the Oracle Empire's ships at this time had been deployed to the border near the Second Titan Empire's territory, and only a small number of forces were available to defend against the Svarus, including less than 80 Foehn ships. During this campaign, with the help of logistics ships and interceptors, the Foehns unleashed their awesome power, fighting against larger numbers, and maintained an equal situation, holding on until allies could arrive. The senior officers of the Empire noticed the Foehn's outstanding performance, and afterwards it became one of the main warships of the Oracle Empire.
After Galactic War IV, the Oracle Empire immediately began to conduct its secondary research of the Foehn, and comprehensively upgraded it. They re-designed the original super-compressed railguns and tactical cyclers, expanded its module capacity while changing the appearance by less than 20%, and increased the operating power, to achieve a greater degree of freedom for equipment. This is the Foehn, which is now known as ""The Hunter. ""
