The Dictator battlecruiser was designed as a firepower logistics ship, with excellent firepower output capability. Its onboard guerrilla auxiliary thinking intelligence helps to predict war conditions and grants the ship advantages in long-range firepower control to break out from sieges and provide reliable support for allies.
It's said that an experienced pilot can keep distance from enemy ships under certain circumstances in order to gain maximum firepower. This even became a challenge in the Svarn navy.
The prototype of the Dictator came about in the late 980s AG.
The Svarn navy planned to develop a new battlecruiser codenamed S-110206 to cope with Neo-Europa's attempt to expand. The navy demanded the new ship to be equipped with an improved processor capability and capacitor, and with a compacted layout like the Lebridge battlecruiser which still served in the Svarn Northern Fleet. So, the prototype of the Dictator was chosen to be the Overlord battlecruiser, which shared the same tonnage as the Lebridge, but with a modern layout.
In late 985 AG, the mid hull junction of the S-110206 battlecruiser was completed, but the project was put on hold because the developers belonged to the Bresky faction and its funds stopped flowing in around 986 AG. In 987 AG, the S-110206 battlecruiser was dismantled on the construction platform.
The S-110206 battlecruiser was mildly modified for exportation in 989 AG and became the S-110207 patrol ship. The Udaloy Union didn't accept the design, but the Svarn navy took over the project at the same time, and the good performances exhibited by the trial ships put this project on the agenda again.
Since the 990s AG, Svarus continued modifying the ship's design. The First Military Research Institute of the Republic of Svarus provided several plans with different device configurations, and the one with a Gaussian Magnetic Field Stabilizer was chosen in the end.
Right now, the Dictator battlecruiser, with improved processor capability and capacitors, is considered the cutting-edge product of Svarn military industrial technology. However, it's still relatively rare in the market, and not even fully deployed in the Svarn navy.
