As a successor of the Surge battleship, the Tsunami battleship has advanced EM armor, processor capability, and capacitor, which grant the pilot with flexible arms selection. Kirilenko, the Prime Minister of the Republic, honors the Tsunami as the greatest masterpiece created by the military technology of modern Svarus.
Some military commentators from Neo-Europa claimed that heavy armor is bound to result in poor maneuverability, which would certainly degrade the ship's value on the battlefield. But that's not quite the case.
The Tsunami battleship appeared in late 1050 AG. It has the most excellent defense among its siblings, but it also has an Achilles' heel—its maneuverability. When left alone, the Tsunami is easily suppressed by enemy guerrillas. Although it's hard for enemies to destroy the Tsunami, it's also hard for the Tsunami to find a chance to fight back. Even if the Tsunami gains the upper hand, all it can do is let enemies escape due to its poor maneuverability.
Now, Svarn ship designers have applied the experimental intelligent armor to the Tsunami. Covering the basic armor of the ship, each intelligent armor module uses special high-energy materials, sensors, and microprocessors. The sensors and the microprocessors form a link to the homogenized EM armor through a complicated induction field. When the ship is being attacked, the sensors calculate the size and speed of armor-piercing bullets, and locate the ship part that will be hit by the bullet. After that, the high-energy materials activated by the microprocessors expand toward the source of the attack. The impulse generated by the expansion deflects or stops the attack to protect the ship.
In 1053 AG, the Tsunami arrived at Tadmekka, and was incorporated into the Northern Galaxy Fleet of the Svarn Navy.
